Quick idea towards "bigger and better" and new location next meet, combine it with a 1/4mile day.

Plenty of people wanting to go to this and although I've not had time to look at organising one this year I may do in the future. I seem to remember Shakespear county saying that they had camping facilities.

As I said, just an idea.

I really like that idea. But its getting people to commit to it and turn up on the day.

Perhaps have the mega meet on the Saturday and then camp and those that want can go to RWYB day at Pod on the Sunday?

Although there isnt anything stopping us just arranging a club stand at POD and all doing RWYB on the same day

I'd like to try and get our own venue for the next one if possible. If it means hiring a field, which has facilities and we charge a couple of quid and it works out cheaper and more secure than Billing then I'm all over it.

Lots of options to consider.
Nah, don't hire a field, just jump the fence and escort the cows off the premisis. [hunter]

sems a shame this never happened this year!

but just as well cos i couldnt make it anyway [:DD]

i was also amazed at how many people DIDNT show up last year! the threads were reading for a great turnout but like chris said, there was only like 25 cars!

which reminds me! TABS!! im still wating for that T-shirt you promised me for my effort to make the meet! lol (for being the furthest to travel for the meet!)

thats another thing that people at the meet were getting at! If i could travel 400 miles to the mega meet, then why cant people less than half that distance make it along? on what turned out to be a cracking weekend had by those who did show up!!

I hope to see a good turnout at E38 for this forum! lol [:)]

looking forward to next year guys! hopefully i'll be able to make the journey for it again! [:D]

i know its been a few months since the last post.

but you also have a 1.8t and not a tdi so it would have cost a lot of money as well as time to travel down to the mega meet.

good on you for putting the effort in.
