Mark 5/6 style tailgate on a mark4??

Has any1 ever done this, just like the rotating VW badge/switch and had the mark4 handle flushed off? I just thght of it the other day at work[8-|] as my handles corroded slightly and thght it be quite a trim idea but dont know the best way to go around it..
