Has anyone managed to put Lupo mirrors onto their golf?

Ive seen lots of examples, but wondered if anyone on here has done it and could give me some advice on how easy it is etc?

I've costed it up with new parts from VW. New housings, glass, mount to vehicle and electric motors. Came to around ?250, need to see how much from VAG parts.

theres a tuner in america that does a kit for this conversion for the MK4 golf, but sadly they wont ship outside of USA. gimps.

Thought I would just bring this up again as im still looking to do this.

I have potentially found LUPO L/R mirror cases + L/R mirror glass fairly cheaply.

What else would i need, im guessing the bracket, which would need to be split and mated to the golf one somehow?

Would this bracket include the electric motor, or is this seperate too?

Be great to pursue this, and find out more. Think this looks cool with small mirrors []

Apparantly jap spec mirrors are smaller or Eurotek do cult society small mirrors like this....

yes jap spec mirrors are the ones to go for, and im about to order a set. watch this space. oh, and as for those ones from eurotek, they are for not for fitment to MK4 golfs.

Don't the Jap ones have different sizes each side?

IIRC both japanese and european car's have smaller passenger side mirrors. As japanese are right hand drive and european cars are left hand drive you have to get a passenger side mirror from each of these cars.

yup thats the one. you have to use oem vw parts obviously, so its quite expensive too.

do mk5 polo wing mirrors fit because the early mk5 polos had small wing mirrors left and right! they look similar to golf mirrors also

I was under the impression that 'Jap spec' mirrors were always mk5 Polo ones. Don't know if they're a straight fit however [?] As you say Alex, they are the same both sides. Worth a trip to the scrappers perhaps?

yeh might be worth a go! i think u will find it hard to find a mk5 polo with both the small mirrors on as there wasnt many, they were only on the earliest mk5's! I looked for ages for one as my drivers side one was bigger on my polo!

u may be lucky tho!
