The Golf Plus are nothing like that. Like you say way too Lexus style.

If Hella was to do anything like that for the mk5, i would give it a definite miss!!!

It'll be the same as the LED sidelights. As LEDs take less current, the car thinks the bulbs have blown and switches off the lights. I dare say it would be easy to fettle for rear lights though.

Saw the Golf Plus in Ridgway - Newbury this weekend, nice but not as nice as the std golf. Lights look good though.

The problem with retro fitting LED rear light clusters to the MkV is the fact that the Boardnetz control unit monitors the rear lights when they're off when you first turn on the ignition, it can't do this with LED's as there is a chance they might light up unecessarily!!

Need to check these lights out before parting with cash!
