yes it should beep, sounds like a faulty drivers door module. does the car know the drivers door is open?
Leaving lights on - should it beep?
Hello.
I normally leave my auto lights in the auto position and just let them handle themselves so never worry about turning them on or off.
The other day it was foggy so I had them turned on manually with the fog lights s elected also.
When I removed the key and got out of the car there was no audible alarm to say i'd left my lights on.
Should there be!?
Or does it auto turn off anyway regardless of the setting?

Mine doesn't seem to make any noise ether
No it wont beep unless you leave it in the side light position! They will go out, after the getting home time elapses!
On the Mk5 (not the Mk4 guys) I think if you have coming home lights then they don't beep to tell you. The lights go off after 30 seconds automatically.

So I left my lights manually on in the on position (NOT AUTO) and they did indeed go off after 30seconds of locking the car.
