Im thinking of having my Recaro's retrimmed in leather. I was thinking of getting them done in deep red (like on the M3's, A3's etc). I have a black car, with light smoke tints, what you reckon?

Kam, why dont you ask Mark (evilhommer) he has i think a friend in the retrim business, and may get it done cheaper for you.

Is possible my friend would do it, the difficulty is, is that he would be doing it as a foreigner, therefore in his own time.. perhaps a seat at a time you see. Perfect for me because i run two motors but not so good if its your daily ride...[V]

RS GOLF< those seats look WICKED , did carisma do the retrim,?, how much did they charge for what you had done?

Jamie from Carisma did the retrim and it cost just over ?1700.

It is a lot of money but the quality of the leather is very high and the finished result is excellent.

Have have never regreted paying this money

I got my retrim done by Transcal in Livingston (Scotland) it cost me ?1000. I went with black nappa leather and black stitching to keep it OEM looking. The leather is of the highest quality, it feels great and the smell is amazing. I'll post some pictures up as soon as its a nice day - hopefully this weekend.

Ace you got it sorted then... has it given you new love for the car like you thought it would??!! My intention was to do exactly what you have done all along, but always this niggling feeling of wanting to do something a little different, aka the red stitching... it does look nice..... arggghhh decisions decisions!!![:D][V]

yeah the love is back :D I was going to get silver stitching to match the colour of the car, im glad I didn't now as I think all black looks much better than coloured stitching. IF you are going to do it, get Nappa leather, its so so nice!

evilhomer, how about silver stiching? Your car is silver and any aluminium touches you have in interior already will only complement it. Ive seen it on black leather recaros before and it did look amazing. However Red, or even keeping with black would look really nice too imo! Hard decision to make!
