Just bought a Bora Highline

Hi

Just joined as i've just bought a Bora Highline 130 TDi which I shall be picking up next week and saying a sad goodbye to my Polo 1.9TDI Sport which I have spent hours discussing and moaning about on UK-POLOS.net.

Anyway I hope its ok for me to be on here not owning a Golf!

Thanks to all my new friends, I hope I have as much fun moaning about everything in general and having a good laugh as I do with the Polo boys.

I think I might just enjoy the heated leather in these coming winter months!

What was wrong with the Polo? How long have you got? It was mainly the dealer I think but they have put ?4700 worth of parts on it alone, new dash, steering wheel etc etc.

Just hope my Bora is better but then again it should be being built in Germany instead of Spain.

MikeDav, what are those back lights from cos I think thats my first mod along with a W8 light.

They are made all over... 4Motions were made in Bratislava, Slovakia and mines been spot on so far - hopefully you have better luck this time.

They are OEM 2004 tail lights from the USA - fitted to 2004.5 Jettas and onwards. I got mine from www.ecstuning.com but that was yonks ago (nearly a year) so someone like Craig V might know of a UK supplier.

How do you go about the fogs then cos they dont have fog lights on US cars do they?

The lights are exactly the same inside - made by Hella - but have a blank plate over the fog light hole. So I have drilled that out (1 minute job) and put in a red bulb

Oh right! So you had the Hella ones instead of the OEM ones as on that website they have both?

i think mike bought OEM i have hella and there is no difference barr the price

Yeah mine are OEM, the Hella ones weren't available then. But OEM is Hella, totally identical - may as well go for the 'aftermarket' Hella ones (which are the same) as they are cheaper

Has anyone else got a Bora Highline on here or am I the first??

A couple of q's if you dont mind?

Has the highline got:

Heated washer jets

Low washer fluid warning

and a warning triangle in the boot?

I will get the Hella ones then for a snip at around ?45! Any idea much postage is from US for them lights?

Sorry but so many questions!

My bank loan has been delayed as they are a couple of days behind so I can see myself paying on my credit card!
