Found out that the Golf MK5 has the VW logo over the dipped beam bulb.

Tried to get them from dealer but they only come with complete headlights[]

You may call me sad [:I] but I just had to find some and I did after locating a crashed Mk5 in a car breakers near me...........was not even charged for the parts too [].

An hour of messing about with taking headlights off etc and they are on.

Sweet idea !

For the record:

1) Is the beam cutoff on the mk4 same as mk5 ? If not, this shield may cause probs

2) The beam shield removes and installs through the bulb change flap at the back of the light, so no need to split the glass off.

3) I like the mod alot

I don't have the VW bit in my MK5 headlights unfortunately.........but having Bi-xenons makes up for it !!! LOL
