right well i thought it was about time i made myself a progress thread, ive owned the car for about 6 months now it hasnt been a fun start though, shortly after buying it the gearbox, clutch, starter motor and one of the driveshafts all decided to go, but now fixed i do enjoy the car :L so when buying a car and it has full service history and fresh mot its not as great as it sounds :L

i brought the car relativly standard, all that was done when i brought it was the previous owner had sprayed the rear vw badge debaged the rest of the badges on the back, put a debaged grill and sprayed(really badly i may ad) the alloys although im still unsure on what alloys they are i think they are audi rs4's.

this is her when i got her

first thing i did was source myself a front lupo gti badge as i thought it looked quite nice

http://img38.imagefra.me/img/img38/8/8/15/jakkkkk/f_grpn3okym_bb8dc9b.jpg
next was to fit my "sound system" and being my first turbo i fitted an airfilter just so i can here that noice :p

heres a couple of pictures after i gave her a long clean

http://img02.imagefra.me/img/img02/8/8/15/jakkkkk/fn3ooym_77c5a67.jpg

next were other little subtle things

- LED sidelight bulbs

- LED Numberplate bulbs

- Pressed plates

- Forge 007p

- carbon wrapped the dash

- Custom made cold air feed for the air filter

next thing was coilovers only lowered a slight mount atm untill i get some adjustable drop links etc

i also had the rear windows tinted, sort of a on the spot bored decision but i sorta like them

next i had the rear vw badge outlined in red to try break the black up just
need to get around to spreading the red around the car now

then i
finally got remapped by r-tech they came down to me i then went to tsr perfromance and had my car dyno'd i got 204bhp with 200lb of tourqe and for a day it
was very fun, but after that 1 day problems started, where i go too
excited i snapped my gearbox mount(think they must have been loose or
badly worn) and one side of it decided to fly up and put a nice whole
in my down pipe and where the engine moved it about it badly crushed it :L soo had a new gearbox mount fitted and took it as an excuse to
order a turbo back miltek system and 4mo rear valance which wasnt very fun to fit
Grin

i also brought a 4bar fuel preasure regulater another on the spot pointless thing :L

soo future plans are atm

- get forge tip

- Forge actuator

- K03s

- Fmic

- Stage 2

- r32 front bumper and skirts

- blend rear bumpper into 4mo rear valance

- smooth boot and add spoiler

- us spec rear lights

- Xenon headlights

thats it so far :)

i did fit a replica front r32 bumper but i highly advise anyone to stay clear of the replica bumpers they dont fit very well and the quality is rubbish so switched back to standard bumper, i do have some anniversary sideskirts waiting to go on though

here is some pictures after i superguarded the car

not much to update, was happy with the power so was guna go for making it look smarter however i changed my mind and just went off on power haha

since last update ive

- rerouted the boost gauge much better now

- brought a brand new k03s turbo and had it fitted as i brought a second hand one before ended up getting messed around and it was f**ked so went safe and brought new haha. car sounds completely different but cant tell so much if it is much faster by just bolting on

- fitted a big bloody fmic which to be fair hasnt created much lag at all for the size, was a right ball ache to fit though have never done anything of the sort before and no garage here wanted to do it because of the cutting of the bumper etc. i brought it off dan with the s3 engined 4motion golf so his set up was obviously different than mine meaning i had to try make sence out of the pipes he gave me after a long day i finally managed it!

-put a standard front grill on and had it wrapped in black vinle

-Black aniversary style headlights

-red vw logos on the wheels

heres a picture of the intercooler after fitting, will get more pictures up when i tiddy the front bumper up, if anyone knows of a genuine one for sale preferably in black let me know as im after one

hey if you got a cone did you have a sensor in your standard airbox if so how did you get rid of it ?
