Hi All,

I've been looking around for ecu mapping upgrades and like the look of
the jabbasport upgrade, I'm just looking for comments about ecu
upgrading, the power increase is quite substantial so I guess the
performance hike is equally impressive too but are these figures
accurate, is it really worth it? Looks like a bargain to me but surely its too good to be true....

Thanks for your advice,

Jabba are a reputable tuner but their rolling road does tend to give
high figures. They have or are having a new rolling road which should
be more accurate though. The most important thing though is not the
figure but how the car drives and I think those that have had the work
done by Jabba have been impressed with the performance. What car do you
drive?

............But their maps are top notch, smooth as silk and very relaiable. nice people to boot. I am sure you would be happy with it.

Any remap will give a great performance boost for the money, even the most expensive ones are still good value on bang per buck basis.

Thanks guys,

what am I waiting for!?, anybody give an indication of acceleration
difference before and after, after coming from a cupra R I'm looking
for a similar driving thrill and given the performance figures I'm
thinking this would be close enough...

Needed some cash so it had to go :(

I miss the performance but not the handling, straight line bullet but
useless around the twisties, suprised how different the Golf handles!
just need some more oomph to add to the fun ;)

Well I've been to jabbasport and what a difference!!

The cars completely transformed, its amazingly fast now, easily as
quick as the cupra r and fifth gear from 75 is amazing, theres very
little that will be able to get away or keep up..

Highly recommend the upgrade and the company!!

I have a query regarding this upgrade, I now get a slight hesitation
when lifting off after more vigorous acceleration most noticeable in
fifth gear when you plant your foot down and immediately lift off, its
there in every gear and you can notice it when changing up through the
gears quickly.

I asked jabbasport about it and they said its caused by
a delay from the Drive-by-wire setup and is something you have to live
with, is this a similar story for anybody else? its not BAD or anything
just its not exactly RIGHT either, still highly recommend the upgrade though! [:D]

ive had mine custom mapped at jabba and its the same as yours, you just learn to drive round it. i posted about it when i had mine done about 8 months ago and people were saying they get it with other chips/maps to.

Do you have a stock dump valve or an uprated one?

If it is stock, it might be fluttering a bit with the added boost. I had a very slight hesitancy on lift off but a bailey dv cured it. Jabba do them for about 90 quid IIRC.,

Looks trick too!

Funny you should say that, yes I have noticed the DV making a
fluttering noise but only acccasionally, its just been replaced with a
stock one under warranty but I guess it won't last too long with the
added boost....

I had one hand on the phone to jabba for a remap for my 2001 aum 150T when i read this post about the throttle hesitation. It seems youve already posted about this before but as this is my first time on the forum could you summarise the effects it has.I do worry as it has taken me weeks to decide jabba over revo. But then you went on to say most remapped 1.8T suffer this or at least the dbw throttle. Thank you for youre patience.
