Having read through the forums thoroughly for info on re-mapping i've decided to book it in with Jabba (well 90% sure anyway). Was wanting to get some opinions/feedback from people who have already had it done on their PD150's.

Also would be interested in opinions of people who decided against Jabba and why you did?

To be honest the main reason that i'm thinking of going with Jabba is the price difference. Revo being 500 quid plus extra for the sps1 and Jabba being 365 quid and i can't see the difference in performance and service from what i've read.

Revo [:D] (although I have got a 130)

Nicky, you'll be hard pushed to find an upgrade with no smoke - I mean, these cars push out smoke when you boot them anyway, it'll just be the same with a chip.

You could always look into a particulate filter... and if you find any, let me know! [;)]

Had my chipped at dubsport by a guy called wayne who works for himself i had intended getting Revo but there was a fault with it and i went for the custom map instead must admit i am a wee bit apprehensive because it was'nt one of the bigger companies if anything goes wrong later because there's a bit of distance involved .But it runs well 200bhp & 312 11b torque never actually heard of anyone else on the forum being maped by him but deffo a wee bit more smoke when giving it welly

All the maps available give you very similar figures.

Phil all diesels smoke even std ones m8, Mike is right. I was behind a 150pd earlier and it was smoking a lot. You don't see it because your pipes face the tarmac. The best way of checking this is at night with a car following close behind. Boot it at low revs and you will see it.

My own car with a DPT map produces smoke at 1200-1300 rpm (in any gear) when I nail the throttle because I can see it out the back window. However at any other engine speed above this there is less smoke than a car with a std map. That's the beauty of having a milltek with the non-downturned pipes.

Neo a remap alone on a 130pd doesn't give you 200bhp. Jabba's rollers are a bit optimistic.

Right. It's booked in at Jabba on Thursday. I still haven't found anything to put me off them or turn me on to any of the other companies.

I hope it's going to be as good as everyone says it is [:D]

I don't see what the big deal with smoke is anyway? You're never going to get mad smoke issues like an old van that needs new oil and for me the smoke is the best fun.

I ragged mine in 2nd last week in front of a mate in his car in the dark and his lights nearly vanished in the cloud!!

Wow [:O]

206bhp & 324 lbs/ft in total (although aparantly in reality it will be slightly down on those figures due to the rollers being off a bit)

It's just sooo much better to drive, and it was great before...

206 bhp sounds VERY optimistic if you don't mind me saying!!

Yeah i know but that's what my readout says and even with the allowance for the rollers been off it would be at least over 200bhp, which is nice [:D]
