Any ideas ?? All of a sudden I have now lost the beeps when I arm and dissarm the alarm.
Yup, similar but used off home pc/laptop. Made by ross-tech. need an OBD 2 adaptor which can be found on ebay.at the risk of sounding stupid ...
(i'm new to all this technology - saxo owner )
what is vag com? i'm guessing the computer the carage use to programme the car?
Has it been activated with vag com???? standard uk spec is switched off. If you have never had it Id suggest its never been activated.oh..
ive never had a beep since i bought the car last year
time to look for a new siren
any ideas on cost anyone?
autolock is popular... locks doors at 10mph. unlocks again when you take key out of ignition(in time with interior lights coming on.)right i gotcha.
so can your stealer do this for you???
what other "hidden" things are there like this? i.e the windows up/down when you hold the key in the door, the airbad turn off etc....
I paid approx ?70..think was about ?66 from the stealer. Fitted myself very quickly...easy enough to do.Yes there is one. you need it turned on with VAGcom. Does anyone know how much a new siren is?
No but arent people allowed a personal preference? I didnt like the idea until I heard it, and it was quite nifty, so I activated it. Does it really matter if your car locks at 10mph, no but I liked the idea and activated it.Does it really matter if the alarm beeps when you lock it??
Still gotta have someone in the car for a rolling road though havnt you? so not really any way it can go wrong unless it electronically goes wrong... think beddie might have had that problem!!!does anyone near reading have this vag com malarky then and fancy doing mine!!!
I think both ideas are good.
sods law says i go to an RR or something and get locked out of my car if i activate it!!!!
Think the point of his post was the fact that he had the beep activated, but then lost it (hence his siren is likely to be faulty as mine was)...Does it really matter if the alarm beeps when you lock it??
