right i gotcha.

so can your stealer do this for you???

what other "hidden" things are there like this? i.e the windows up/down when you hold the key in the door, the airbad turn off etc....
autolock is popular... locks doors at 10mph. unlocks again when you take key out of ignition(in time with interior lights coming on.)

can obviously locate and remove faults (including airbag on all but some 2001 model year cars, which have a different airbag ecu, which can be damaged)

Does it really matter if the alarm beeps when you lock it?? []
No but arent people allowed a personal preference? I didnt like the idea until I heard it, and it was quite nifty, so I activated it. Does it really matter if your car locks at 10mph, no but I liked the idea and activated it.

does anyone near reading have this vag com malarky then and fancy doing mine!!! :p

I think both ideas are good.

sods law says i go to an RR or something and get locked out of my car if i activate it!!!!
Still gotta have someone in the car for a rolling road though havnt you? so not really any way it can go wrong unless it electronically goes wrong... think beddie might have had that problem!!!

Bit too far for me bud, but sure there will be someone fairly local.

Think the point of his post was the fact that he had the beep activated, but then lost it (hence his siren is likely to be faulty as mine was)...

I guess its not essential that it beeps when it locks, however it would be damn handy for the siren to make a noise should his car be broken into!!

I had the beep activated on mine, but chose to have it taken back off a few weeks later. Not my personal preference, id much prefer a chirp...like the clifford alarms etc. The auto locking is good though!
