Finally, I've got round to getting her done[^].

Arrived at Jabba 9.30am yesterday morning after a nice steady 60mile drive from "the ville"

Spoke to Carol, who took all my details & then passed the keys to Michael to do his ECU bussiness.. I hung around whilst this was being done in their plush waiting room, leather sofas & wide screen TV, & even got to watch "Trisha" [:O]. They also have a trophy cabnet to rival schumachers from the VW Racing cup, stacked full of 1st & 2nd places.

I asked for a pre remap RR result as I'd had a result of 172bhp on the bedrock RR, & the Jabba RR returned 170bhp,which was good news.

So, the results from the remap are 208bhp (218bhp) / 300lb torque [:D].

The torque had to be restricted to 300lb as above that I was getting Clutch slip [V].

The drive home was very cool, I went home via the A1 & blimey [:O]!!, when it hits 2800revs does it go, had a play with a TT 225 at one point, you should have seen his face in my mirror as I pulled away at an amazing rate.[:D]

The down side [V] is I only got an average of 48.6mpg on the way home, however my trip in to work this morning gave me 54.2mpg, so its not all bad.

Nice!

I'm booked in on the 14th @ Jabba for a remap. A mate is having his Ibiza TDI Sport chipped by Upsolute tomorrow, so we're gonna compare.

From the standard figures, I take it yours is a 150 TDI??

What does the mid-range torque feel like compared with standard?

Thats gona be interesting, comparing the 2, so many people doubt RR figures from certain companies, but its how it drives is what matters, not numbers on paper.

Yea she's a PD150 & got 59k under her belt, so nice & loose[:p]

Its much better mid range, its almost like a 1.8t how rapidly it climbs through the revs too, 4th gear @ 60mph & boot it, feckin hell 100 comes up in a blink of the eye.

I'm getting a new pr of front F1's fitted later today, so if its dry or not too wet tonight Im gone a do a speed run [:p]

Just hope the clutch holds up @ the JBS RR day now .

Subtract 20bhp and both figures seem absolutely spot on! I bet its lovely to drive with all that torque!

and why's that?

Lets not start on Jabba's rollers are out blah blah, its a good indication the figures he got at Bedrock on a brand new rolling road was a few bhp difference from Jabba's who's rolling road isn't new.

Just let someone be happy with what they have got, if they believe the figures then whats the difference.

To be honest, I'm not bothered about power figures. In-gear acceleration & power delivery is what I'm interested in.

With only 5K miles on the clock, engine & gearbox should be run-in but not fully loosened up. Hoping to have a chat with Mike before he works his magic.

Does sound very nice Jace, i want to see what its like on JBS.... I'll be there. It will be nice to compare the Revo, Up, Jabba software on the same rollers on the same day... its gonna help me make my choice for a remap.

So whats the smoke like now? Any other mods done either.... exhaust, filter etc?

I wouldn't read too much into power figures either suffice to say that going over 200bhp with the standard turbo will break the turbo. I've managed 231bhp with nos but the turbo doesn't do much work when the nos is flowing. 190bhp tops is a more realistic figure but I'm prepared to be open minded.

Jace just looked again at your MPG figures....... are these the figures i can expect when the Leon in run in? I get about 45-48 mpg at the mo.

What sort of a drive is your work trip and how many miles? Also what does a full tank usually give you?

this forum keeps going on about independent figures and yet when ever A jabba car gets a good figure on another RR and other cars don't out come the excuses....

they are not telling that customer that he got a 70 bhp increase are they - so whats the problem

if they showered it at 150 spot on then claimed 208bhp which the kind of thing that i've seen suggested but they are not doing that at all

I think so too Bruce but we may both be eating our words if the figures are maintained on JBS's rollers.

The thing is Liam, the VNT-17 can't do over 200bhp without tearing itself apart so either the map is going to kill the turbo or the dyno is reading high.

If thats the case why is the revo pd 150 claiming 203bhp in the May 2004 Golf+ deisel shoot out

what we don't know is what figure that car was showing before remap...

we know that the Jabba had modest 38 bhp becuase they actually give you a before graph
