Having ordered on the 15th Jan I finally get a build date of week 15 delivery week 18/19, I can't handle the wait (I may be a gibbering wreck by the end). Am deliberately going nowhere near the stealers incase I get a rush of blood and steal the one in the showroom.[8)]
It's coming, but in 8 weeks!!!

Having ordered on the 16th Jan, mine was built last week and I'm waiting shipment, so within 3 weeks fingers crossed. Waiting this long was bad enough! Mines not as high a spec as yours though which plays a part.

oh man, I am actually dying. My surgery at work is COVERED with GTI pics. I am getting very strange looks from my patients [
]. I have a supercar calendar (present[)]) and have covered up the Spyker Double S pic with my GTI. I want this car so badly now. I almost ordered mine when Doc ordered his and I wish so much that I had. Just think though, didn't Christmas only seem a few weeks ago...

The build dates seem to change a fair bit, i was told two days ago it was scheduled for build week after next, then yesterday the stealer told me it was in the paint shop, however i was told about 2 months ago it would be roughly this week so it was been built about the time they said at the start. I can't wait, 1/3 of a year is a long time to wait for a car.

Uzi9 you should setup a special clinic for expectant GTi parents, you'd make a mint.

if you are going to add something do it asap, i think adding the mfsw to my car delayed it

I ordered my GTI on the 11th Feb. Any idea when I could expect delivery? The dealer said May, but judging from the posts on here it sounds more like July [] I'm not sure my tyres will last that long!

Quite new myself, but does seem the best Golf forum by far.
Anyway, I would expect end of May []and certainly not July. Ordered mine 29th Jan and have a build date of week 16 then 3 to 4 weeks for delivery. It's certainly tough waiting but I'm sure it will be well worth it in the end.
