Almost November and I don't think I've seen a single ad on the telly for Christmas stuff. Even the shops are holding back. Have they listened to us at last?

There may not be Christmas adverts but I feel several adverts have a Christmas 'feel' to them with jingly jangly music and sparly/glittery graphics. Trying to break us in gently maybe?

I first saw Christmas cards on Sale on August 1st and since then a lot of clothes have had a Christmas feel to them as well like sparkly dresses, glittery tops etc.

Pubs/restaurants have been taking Christmas bookings for a couple of months now too.

Our Christmas lights went up in town last week, will be switched on on November 16th.

knowing how crazy things are PC wise these days its probaly going to be banned in case its offends a minority group.

Councils all over the country slapping fines on people for dressing like santa

and a new enviroment tax for Christmas trees over a 1.5 meters.

young children knocking on doors singing Christmas carols being slapped with an ASBO

gatherings off old people in church halls of more that 15 are classed as inciting a riot and held in detention under anti terror laws

Yep, certainly not surprised you're all saying coke decides when xmas begins..

I was just about to type EXACTLY the same as GTIgreen has!

Xmas adverts are now banned - next year the word Christmas cannot be used as it refers to Christ - So its going to be renamed "WinterDay"

All "Winterday" trees must be sold with a license from an official "winterday" Tree specialist and will be taxed if over 1meter

WinterDay turkeys must also only be purchased from Free Range oversea's suppliers

WinterDay assembly's may take place in a church but the old Mid-night Mass will nolonger be permitted as you have to be off the streets before midnight in case you wake people up.

Winterday cards will only be permitted to be posted if they do not show a fat bearded man climbing down a chimney as this may upset burglers who are angry at being "stereotyped"

And finally, Father Winter will no longer be using Reindeer to pull his sleigh - He will only be able to use an eco/animal friendly sleigh which is limited to a maximum of 25mph whilst on British Soil - thats if he is allowed through imigration control carrying all those boxes!

Wifey watches Emmerdale and they've be running one of those `sponsored by' ad's with a Christmas theme for ages now. Surprised it's still running actually and that some race or religion hasn't complained because it hurts their `feelings' etc.

I think you'll find that it's normally the usual 'do-gooders' that complain. Most people from other religions and ethnic groups are of the opinion that if we're not allowed to celebrate Christmas then how on earth can they be allowed to celebrate the Eids etc?

In the words of Beuford T Justice "What is the world coming to"

I think Chrimbo is delayed because it's to warm! In November, it might get to 22 degrees according to yesterdays paper [:O]

It just isnt cozy enough for Christmas, and most of the kids these days dont believe in Father Winterday (AKA Christmas)

The companies that advertise on telly normally plan months ahead so they must have been told/listened to the anger over the last few years about their timing. Summer holiday finishes: Christmas ads. Christmas over: Easter eggs in the shops.

Just had a thought too. We watch most of our telly from recordings on the hard drive Freeview thingy. Quite often we use the chase-play feature, avoiding ads. Perhaps that's why we haven't seen any yet.
