Very sad day, the end of a relationship means i've got to buy my own place, no more easy street living at my (x)girlfriends house..[!]

Sadly, my car is gonna have to go so i can put a deposit down on a flat. Just got it finished this month aswell!!

I paid ?8800 for it late last year and have spent around ?6000 on it since then.. [:O] I couldn't believe it either [:O]

Do you guys think that i can get ?10k for it as it is? I don't really want to start stripping bits off as i don't have all the original parts. I'd like to think it's worth ?10k but i know that mods don't really add value.. Some cases they must add a bit tho?!

Its a Y plate, UK supplied car, one previous owner with 50k on the clock, FVWSH, climate, 6-disc, cloth recaros, immaculate..

Sorry to hear your bad news mate.

Unfortunatley 10k for a modded car will probably be pushing it, even for one as nice as yours. Why not buy a sleeping bag and live out of the car

Good luck Nick, but I doubt you'll see that much money back selling it as it is - in my experience people may like the look and spec of your modified Golf but they won't be prepared to pay any more than the book price for a standard one. Unfortunately at the moment there are plenty of 'cheap' mk4 GTIs available on the market.......

I could list everthing and what it cost but would take too long and it's too depressing!!

I listed everything i had done and it came in at well over 6k in fact..

Looks like i'm gonna have to take it as far back to standard as poss..

sold mine on ebay for 12.5k had it for 2years 6 mouths spent 3/4k on it,And only paid 15k new so i did not do to bad if someone wants it bad they will pay that for it

I've got a month or so until i need to get rid so i'm gonna try my luck as it is i think, not gonna sell of the bits just yet..

if i can find the right person, someone who is looking for a 2002 car or similar and has ?10k to spend on a good one. they might be interested in a slightly older car with the right mods on it..

If this car had come up 4 months ago i probably would have snapped it up. Its a blinking bargain, its just a shame people seem to prefere to start from standard when modding

If you sell all the bits off on Ebay you'll get good money for them (wheels etc) then i'd just sell the car for near enough book price - you'll probably get over ?10k that way to be honest!

If i don't get 10k then i will be splitting the car up...

It would just be such a shame as i think it all works well together. I had an idea of what i wanted and when it all came together it was better than expectations! Does not seem right to take it back to standard but i will if i have to and probably will make a bit more than 10k..

Someone on here must be interested?? Lots of essential mods already done..
