Hi,

I have a intermittent issue, the symptoms are the following:

  • Heavy Steering
  • Low on power
  • Vibrations/roughness felt through feedback on the steering wheel/pedals and gears

I have had the car scanned it has returned no faults, also all the issues above happen at the same time and also go away at the same time. Sometimes the car runs absolutley perfect and other times it is really struggling to drive and feel like something is straining on the car

My car has done 170K and had a new steering rack not long ago, also has had new clutch and flywheel not long ago.

It is due a service at 175K at which point the timing belt will be changed (last one done at 120K).

Any Ideas??

Cheers in advance

Checked your power steering pump? Could be laboring the engine if it's seizing up. Do you hear belt squeel? How long do the symptoms last?
