I'm more than happy with the power in my modest 115PD, however, I'm sure I'd be even happier if it was chipped/remapped!

The first name I hear when talking to anyone about tuning is Superchips. After looking at their website, I found there is a dealer very near to me - I called them last week, the fella seemed very knowledgeable and said that they usually make changes to the remap to tailor it to the car n- Can this be done? I thought Superchips was just a plug&play job (like Revo).

Has anyone had their 1.9 TDI Superchipped?

Superchips works out @ about ?511, the main reason Im swaying towards them is the locality of it.

Im intrigued by the relatively new Custom Code @ JBS, but that's about
300 miles away from me! I was always under the impression that
Superchips were rubbish and just a bit of a common brand name - Dunno
why!

I seem to have got myself confused between chips, generic remaps & custom remaps.

Who offers what?

150bhp & 250lb/ft torque seem to be what most places quote, which seems a fair increase with getting silly.

Im just struggling to find the difference between remaps/chips and whether the map is custom or generic.

The only place that seems to offer a fully custom remap is Jabbasport.

It's not so much the extra power I need, just some added 'driveability'
- It can be a bit too much 'hit&miss' if you know what I mean -
Sometiimes it goes like a train, other times it feels slower than my
1.4!

Aa everybody seems to recommed him, I called Simon @ CCCTech - For ?305
all-in, plus the fact that he will travel to me it seems that UPsolute
is the best option.

The figures quoted are to go from 115bhp to 150 bhp which seems about
right, but the torque is quoted as rising to 287lb/ft - All the other
sites quote about 250lb/ft, so it seems a tad high, but overall the
best package I've seen.

Id be happy with 150bhp & 250lb/ft torque tbh, as long as its smoother than it is now, thats my main 'want'
