Yep they won't edit the map but they can give a map more suited to the car. Get it done you won't regret it.

Yes - technically true for "dealers" - however, my map was done at HQ and was personally adjusted to acheive desired drivability.

Sorry to disagree, but I am 110% certain that they apply the map to existing RAM chip which holds the code.

I am sure about this because I spent the afternoon with Jamie Turvey, the technical director of Superchips, when they did my own car........ and learned alot about their procedures.

It could be that you're quoting out of date information - they certainly don't add any hardware to the Mk4 PD150 and the Mk5 PD140 remap job, that's a fact.

Unlikely unless you're planning on erecting a funnel out the bonnet to take the smog away like the Titanic ! []
