For the record:

"Supechips" will *REMAP* your ECU - they do *NOT* add a piggyback chip at all.
Not according to Superchips themselves:

"The process involves removing the computer and replacing the chips"

Sorry to disagree, but I am 110% certain that they apply the map to existing RAM chip which holds the code.

I am sure about this because I spent the afternoon with Jamie Turvey, the technical director of Superchips, when they did my own car........ and learned alot about their procedures.

It could be that you're quoting out of date information - they certainly don't add any hardware to the Mk4 PD150 and the Mk5 PD140 remap job, that's a fact.
