has anyone fitted an induction kit to the tdi engine

i was offered the viper style induction kit and was wondering if it was worth getting as it was going cheap.

if anyone has done this can you post some pics cheers[]

hi there. ive got the carbonio on my golf tdi. looks and sounds great. havent noticed any gain in performance though. i paid ?200 supplyed and fitted at awesome gti inc vat.

speak to whiteboy mate, he's got a home made induction kit (i think) and it makes a great dump noise if your into that sort of thing

i think ill just take it i wanted a nice induction roar

plus i want to get that and my back box before the rolling road day

also some 110bhp injectors would be nice

had a neuspeed on my car for a bit but made lots of noise and sounded good but did nothing for the car so took it off and sold it.looking to make my own up with some flexi tube as it should work just as well.

Question for Awesomemeade. Do they increase the likelyhood of the MAF being gunged up?

There has often been this question of the MAF lifetime after fitting an induction kit. My boss and workshop have always told me this is a myth and have seen more faulty MAF's on standard cars!

a MAF can go with a standard airbox or a aftermarket induction kit. these bosch mafs are CACK and can go at anytime with any kind of air filter. makes no difference

Here's my Induction kit, it's a custom made Polished pipe and it does sound quite throaty plus gives off a good 'Dump valve' noise..

i missed out on that viper so i went along to the local accessory shop

and picked up a viper lookalike filter with the cone inside a plastic cover its just that if i remove the bottom sectopn of the oe air box the ind kit will be just hanging there dont know if this is advisable

also were could i get hosing to run in the front of the air filter

oh yeah forgot to ask when you remove the original box inside that pipe its like 2 grills do you remove these? i was thinking this might be some sort of air restrictor..
