its all personal preference really whichever you choose, some use replacment panel filters with oem airbox. or the carbonio as moves air filter away from warm air. i got pipercross jus for the noise really as i though by far the best one for noise when changin gear.

There's a K&N air filter in there.. here's a better look at it:

I've got the standard K&N air filter in my car at the moment, but I need to give it a cold air feed to make the most of it and so I'm thinking of changing it to the TTDA filter next month.

Id love to see some MAF figures from you guys with CAI kits fitted.

Maybe its just the Dynatwist which degraded my figures, who know.

Wanna lend me your lappy with VAG COM [;)]

Degraded? Bollox

Have logs on std airbox and filter car to Dynatwist and Dynatwist logged 7bhp/13lbft more and more airflow to suit.

You are comparing your modded airbox and intake pipe to Dynatwist are'nt you!

So it did'nt degrade performance then did it! [;)]

Comparing Dynatwist with modded airbox, sharing the same 80mm feed pipe.

Fact remains, Dynatwist flows more air than standard OE airbox setup. [:p]

Yes, a direct comparison between the two using the same 80mm Green intake pipe routed to the front NS grill.

Ah I now see where you are coming from Bill, sorry about that[:$]

The Dynatwist did not degrade my figures as I didnt do a MAF log before fitting that, only after removing it but an 80mm intake feed was in place then.
I agree that the Dynatwist will allow more air to flow than the stock box / snorkel

/Thick mode off [8-|]

No worries.. [:D]

The logs I did showed gains on the cars I logged, but the 80mm intake pipe mod to somewhere cooler definately helps for DIY airbox mods. (as you have seen)
