Well, I picked up my new baby today [] a Diamond Black 25th Anniversary TDI, 28k miles on the clock and 4 brand new alloys fitted yesterday, together with two brand new Michelin Pilot Sports on the rear []

Overall i'm very impressed indeed, it really is a completely different car to drive compared to my old 110 (non PD) TDI. The car pulls hard in every gear and had a really enjoyable journey back home from Manchester (it does have a tuning box fitted left by the previous owner). I averaged 55 MPG [:O] which I was amazed with because I drove it just like my old TDI but never managed any better than 47 MPG on that.

Got home on less than a quarter of a tank of diesel, just filled her up so going for another blast tonight.

Will get some pics up once i've cleaned it's not too clean at the moment. Also waiting for the dealer to send me 4 new centre caps as they ordered new alloys but forgot the caps [B)]

I'll get some photos once i've given it a good clean inside and out.

As for mods, think i'm gonna take it easy on this one!....although it really is crying out for a polo rear wiper and some 15mm rear spacers.

I will not be modding any of the bodywork though, to me it looks perfect in standard form.

Really worried about that mpg though - driven as intended it should get nowhere near that![:I]

I was keeping it at a constant 75-80 MPH in 6th. Couldn't drive it too hard cos my sister was with me and she feels ill when I boot it lol []

I reckon the tuning box is giving the optimistic MPG figures, I heard they are known to do this?
