Just thought that I would sing the prasies of an Ebay seller 'bodycarstyling' for sorting me out with a mint condition OEM Sat Nav unit:

http://www.uk-mkvs.net/forums/318194/ShowPost.aspx

This guy offers you a great service with the unit arriving within a week all boxed up extremely well with all the parts you need to fit the unit including instructions, wiring diagram, GPS antenna and wiring harness.

I can't stress how good the service of this seller is, so if your after a unit then I would drop this guy and email and you won't be dissappointed!!

I did, was the first one to order from him months ago.

I was thinking it was risky at the time but he came through for me!!

Maybe it was the "I'll be over to Poland with my baseball bat" line which clinched it on MSN!!

I was pretty confident that you guys had bought off him as I mentioned the forum when chatting to him on MSN.

Top bloke though and it looks like we are all happy customer's, even if I am a little late?

Any of you guys got a TV Tuner with yours? Worth it? How much?

Another thumbs up to Simon at Bodycarstyling in Poland from me too.

Got mine after the inital buys by Martyn and Gary. All went well, packaged safely in a huge cube of bubble wrap. Been in a good few months now without any problems at all.

Iam thinking about getting one from this guy .

What do you get in the box?

I have a single cd player and gamma unit at the mo. I take it I just replace that kit and off I go. Do you get the GPS unit and can it be installed in the dash somewhere.

Is the unit a DVD or CD reader and does the maps read from the CD/DVD. If they do then would I need a CD changer is the back for music

when the satnav is running?

You get everything you need mate to plug and play!!

You get the Sat Nav unit, GPS antenna, Wiring harness, instructions, wiring diagram and CD maps.

Obviously you will have to remove your head unit and your CD player and probably best to sell those on Ebay?!?!

The CD maps go into the unit and then you will need a changer to play CD's? That's how I have it set up?

I assume that's right?

I have the originial OEM boot mounted CD changer but I believe you can connect other aftermarket changers?

If you sell you headunit and CD Player you should make enough to buy a boot mounted version?

I guess you have a few amps and sub. The OEM Navi does have
pre outs same as the Gamma unit, you might need to buy an adaptor.
or make one up.

I've gone pure OEM for sound:

Navi version D

OEM DSP amp + speakers

OEM TV Tuner

DVD player.

The best thing with this setup all the components are controlled by the Navi unit.

The OEM setup is not as good as an Alpine setup,. The OEM TV Tuner is better tho.

oh i see, i couldnt see any specs on pre-outs. Dont suppose you know what voltage they are?! Shame you cant control the pre-outs though using the OEM Navi. I would of thought that the navi unit would be able to control the pre-outs even if it was jus simple, bass and treble controls
