Hey there everyone! I'm new to all this malarky!

I've currently got a 1994 1.8 Golf Driver! Awww its a fab runner, I got it for a grand as I'm a slow learner, only leant to drive last year and picke dup something cheap for my first car. I've always loved the golf GTI, since I was young my mates dad always had one, right from the MK I.

But now a year has passed, and my insurance peopel are giving me an extra years ncb for some reason so my insurance is affordable!

I've got my eye on this tornado red 25th anniversay 1.8T, awww its sweet man!

What do you guys think?! 180bhp petrol or 150bhp TDI?!

Either way I'm after the anniversary one, just love the interior and looks of it all!

Cheers everyone!

Yeah the red anni is even rarer now, I rang the place up that I saw one for sale on and it had just been sold that very morning! curses!

The guy reckons he knows of another anni he might be able to get for me, which was cool of him! Gonna wait a few days and if he dont come back I'll give him a shout! It apparently was cheaper too as the tornado red one had sat nav installed, something I'd never use anyway!

I'm putting the feelers out and getting soem dealers to have a scout around for me, hopefully within the next few weeks I'll be proudly blasting up and down the coast road hehehe!! Was furious the other day some gimp in a peageut 206 came right up my backside, I was doing 80, why should I move! So he undertook me and skulked about the traffic! "this time next month you'll be seeing me dissappear in the horizon", I thought to myself!

Its things like that thats making me get the 180 GTI!!! Its a right bummer having a car with no power! :-(

Watcha Folks!!!

Time for an update!

alas, the gods have shined to me, destiny it seems is a thing of reality!!! After weeks of chasing a potential anniversary purchase, well4, every one of them I'd just missed out on by either the night before or hours before, I've finally found one!!

Can't believe it man! Seems like it was meant to be! Whichever model I was gonna get I was after a diamond black 3 door monster. So I rang up this place in hexham on the off chance, they had a vague description on the web site! Lo and behold, it was an anniversary model! "Seriously?" I said! Oh yes, and its diamond black, and 3 door! And hexham is only like 40 mins drive away! Can you believe that!? I was last looking at one in colchester, and had all but given up as I wasnt going to travel 250 miles or so to get one, and was resigned to getting a 150bhp TDI.

So, yesterday, me and me mate skulked along to have a look and a test drive, and guess what, whapped down 500 smackers deposit, and come feb 7th I'll be picking it up and boogying on down all the way back home!!

Christ man, this is my first high power car, and well, my first newish car! My current 10 year old golf driver even got belted off by a flamin punto on the way there! Its on its last legs bless it! But holy smokes when I test drove the 180bho anni, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Those wheels for a start, whoah, the interior is pristeen! And the power, whoah so much power! I didnt even get it up past 3000 revs and the pull on this baby was tremendous!! hehehe ok i aint done anythign like this before so you lot will know all about this, but it was fantastic, slinking about doing 50 in 6th gear, went to overtake, touched the gas, and whoosh even then it just launched and said goodbye to old granpappy int he slow lane!

Whats more its good to have a car with brakes now! Well thats a lie cos my driver saved me this week as I had to slam the brakes on as there was a crash 2 cars in front of me, i stopped about an inch away from the one in front of me! But the anni, you just touch them and you stop on a 6 pence!!! Handling, like glue to the road man!

Ok I'm probably going overboard as i#m comparing to my golf driver, but guys, can you tell, I'm in love!!! hahahaha!

Assuming nothing stupid happens with my fiannce, which it shouldnt, I'll have some pics up on feb 7th!! what a beautiful car, and its soooo good to finalyl understand what everyone is going on about the feel, and the uncrontrollable smile you get from driving such a beast!!

Good stuff!

I'll be driving everyone mad untill I get it now!! hahaah

Can you believe banks man?!

I'm still waiting for the buggers to give me my money! Thankfully the guy at the garage is an understanding guy, I was meant to be picking it up this monday, but the bank "forgot" to send out my documentation that I need to sign! Grrrrrr, I'm furious!

So it looks like I'll be anniversaryless for another week yet! So peed off man! Oh well, good things come to those who wait eh?!

I forked out 14k on this baby! Mint ocndition its in too, I dont think anyone ever has sat inthe back seats, the whole interior was as new!

Havent had much chance to rake about it in yet, but tomorrow is saturday, so off I go! One thing though is the git who had it before me stole the anniversary plaque, so I'm gonn ahave to give VW a blast to see if they can replace it for me! Read a few posts on here regarding that so I'm gonna give it a try and see what happens!
