Anyone done a how-to on Bora vents? or is it so easy that a how-to isn't required?

It is easy, only tricky part was wiring passenger side lighting up, although it only took a few extra mins.

Best to use the guide, although easily do it after without it...if you know what i mean!!!

thanks for that link too. i'm not really getting it, but i couldn't see much of a difference between the golf one & the one for bora. why changing it?

they come standard in the R32 aswell. Illuminated on - off things (pic of person and a circle or something) when they are shut, they shut flush aswell. ill try and find some pics.

its Roger Moores Golf, in PVW a month or so ago, Know woldwide, His car is in members rides. I think his goal is to mod with OEM parts.

To wire my passenger one up i picked a feed up from the hazard warning switch

I'm not sure if the part nos in LiQuOrIcE's PDQ are German part no's but my local dealer (Listers Nuneaton) thinks they are;

1J2819704E2AQ Bora drivers vent

1J0819728E2AQ Bora Centre Vent

1J2819703E2AQ Passanger vent

the frame for drivers side 1J2 819 186A

The centre frame - the part no does not show up on the computer!!!

Has anyone done this mod and if so, can they post the part number for the centre frame?

is this mod for someone without a working knowledge of electronics and wiring in general? i'd love to do it but afraid to open the fuse box & do the wiring...any help appreciated. go on, help a mod newbie out! [][][]

its a nice easy one m8, if you get the bits for the midlands meet, ill help ya!!! just a case of clipping the wires together with a choccy block or something.

Just done this mod..flush vents look much classier. One other difference(I hadn't spotted) between normal Golf and Bora vents..on the Bora version the 2 centre vents have separate open/close controls rather than combined wheel that opens/closes both vents together.
