Hi
I'm fitting a new Alternater pully tomorrow. Obviously I need to start by taking the belt off.
What's the best way to take the belt off.
Cheers

are they the same tensioner as a 1.8T?

if so there is a nobbly bit at the top of the tensioner, stick a spanner on it and pull it towards you, itll free the belt off, theres a hole through it that you can lash an allen key through to keep it slack, the rest is pretty much self explanatory.

Changed the pulley. Like you said it was better to take the alternator off the car. All sorted.
Cheers again.
