Never driven a Honda diesel. But the Honda petrol cars are ace. I have had 2.

I though the advert was different and pretty cool. But then I dont make a habit of watching adverts. Its a good time to go for a Single Fish or Jimmy White when they are on. Or make a cup of tea!

Its the ads where Carol Vorderman and the like promote loans that really hack me off. She will never need one, but she will happily take a fortune to get gullable twits further in debt. Car insurance ads, loan ads, accident suing ads etc should all be banned too!

That doesnt necessarily make it a good one. The Currys ad with Linda Barker has been proved to be very memorable but also extremely irritating. Marketing is a funny game. Being memorable for the wrong reason can be worse than not memorable at all.

So I am assuming by peoples response to the advert they also have the same distaste for the product??

Only I am seriously considering parting with 20k ish for a Accord 2.2i ctdi sport and would love to know if there are any down sides to this great(unique)looking car.

True, but so many other factors influence people when they buy a car that not liking the advert may seem insignificant compared to the other points...

I hate it to and I drive a petrol. Honda trying to pretend to be great inovators.

LOL, don't make me laugh - Honda make some of the best engines in the world, not to mention some of the most reliable.

except when in the back of a F1 car ! [:D]

can't stand advert, but at least the sentiment is honest - they did say they would never put a diesel in a road car of theirs.

Thats does not exactly make them innovative does it. They are trying to make out like they have invented quiet diesel engines when they have not. The only thing Honda brought out first was VTEC. Other manufacturers have make bigger advances and introduced new technology than honda.
