Hi everyone,

I've been lurking on the site for a while, trying to pluck up the courage to post an introduction. Push came to shove last weekend when I finally got hold of a digital camera so I could take some pictures of my wheels. I'll be posting something in the Members Rides section shortly - be kind.

Anyway, I own a Golf V6 4Motion, X-reg. As stated in my signature, it's been to AMD for a bit of fettling (remap, suspension and R32 ARBs), plus it already came with full leather Recaros and the winter pack. It's also got a sunroof (not sure if that is standard) and 18" RS4 replicas which were on the car when I bought it. To be honest, I'm not sure what to do with it next...having made a sizeable dent in my wallet late last year, I'll be limited to small, cheap-ish mods. Any suggestions are quite welcome. Oh, and any recommendations for VW specialist garages in the Norwich area would be a bonus as the main dealers have me pulling my hair out (what's left of it) on a regular basis.

Good to be part of the MKIVs scene...looking forward to those pesky group buys.

Cheers,

Andy

I'm from just down the road in Lowestoft mate, I'm dropping my car off to oemparts.co.uk which is in norwich for an anni kit to be fitted and sprayed at the weekend i think they can supply most parts and fit a lot of them for you too.

I've never used them before but they seem very helpful on the phone will give a report of the service i recieve from them once my motor is finished.

Also near the airport there is a german swedish french (http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ ) they are very helpful and very competative with pricing.

I use a garage in Beccles called Hensted motorsports for engine work they are used to high performance cars like evos and skylines but they do decent work on the golfs as well.

The Group buys on here are awsome ive had my car since march and have alreading got coilovers, arbs, upsolute, aerowipers, miltek, greenpanel filter, forge dv pagid brakes, powerflex bushes and some 18's. Oh and no money left.

welcome aboard, maybe we can get a norwich meet going

n15cko - Thanks for the heads up - unfortunately I've already got plans
this weekend. I will try my best to get along to the odd show now and
again...be nice to put faces to names.

dazer - That's me. It kills me that the car has to sit on the road, but
if you live in a terraced house, you don't have much option. I've
applied for a council garage, but reckon I'll be drawing my pension
before one becomes available.

fivedollarbob69 - Excellent - thanks for that info. I've seen the
adverts for oemparts in PVW, so any feedback you can give would be most
welcome. As for future servicing, I'm convinced I've seen a VW
specialist somewhere between Norwich and Loddon. Not sure what they're
like, but will probably give them a call next year when it's
servicing/MOT time. Thanks for the recommendation regarding Hensted...I
take it they'll undertake servicing work as well as more performance
orientated work?

Oh, and sorry for the slow reply, we're only allowed 10 minutes on the interweb per day here at work [:(]

Thats were i take mine for servicing. They will do alsorts of work for you and they will talk you through exactly what they have done if you want them to. One of the most helpful garages ive found.

Will give details on oemparts when i get my car back. Cant wait now getting all excited to see the bodykit and miltek fitted.[:D]

The garage sounds spot on...even though it's a fair way out of Norwich,
I think I'd prefer the hassle of getting there and back again than
trusting my car to the stealer especially as the car's way out of
warranty now.

Anni kit AND a Milltek. You're a lucky man. There's part of me that
wants the standard exhaust to go so I can get a Milltek fitted. Heard
nothing but good things about them. Enjoy it matey.

Welcome,

That's not your dark blue 4Motion parked on Unthank Road is it?
Saw that the other day, when I was up there working, OEM Xenons, RS4's, looked very nice.

Welcome back from the Tractor boys !!

Thanks dubswich...I'm starting to feel a bit paranoid now, that's two forum members who know my car. Still, I guess that's the point of putting in the effort, so other people can appreciate it (as well as enjoying it myself).
