Hey , the missus bought a new car yesterday and i had a little look over it the ford fiesta 1.3l 8v 2001 today when she brung it over. after a little look found there was a creamy substance in the oil filler cap and there was no coolant in the tank. To me it looked like the head gasket had gone but engine runs fine still she says.

Wondering how much it would cost to fix at a garage or if it could be undertaken by myself?

Any thoughts or help would be great right now.

P.S can she still do her daily 6 mile drive if the engine temp is ok, i have filled the coolant/antifreeze up again now

Cheers..Gaz

I had one of these Fiesta's... Unlikely to be the headgasket, the white stuff is just congealed oil. The engines are bulletproof!
