USB<->Serial adapters are not supported because they don't work well. See our FAQ.
Sounds like you guys are having difficulties saving adaptations. Saving adaptations requires the registered version.
If anyone having this difficulty is an actual registered user, please e-mail me.
OTOH, if VAG-COM says "Fully Registered" because you've applied some sort of hack, well, you really shouldn't take ANY functionality for granted..
