Hi Guys

We are currently pioneering a new scheme for an underwriter for
chipped/mapped VW 1.8t models and i'm posting to inform you guys that
the insurer are offering some very competetive prices. The insurer are
trying to build up a book of business so they can examine claim statistcs on
remapped 1.8T's.

The insurer concerned can add a remap to a standard car for as little was ?20 increase in premium.

Our usual criteria applies (drivers aged 21 and over with a minimum of 1 years NCB)

So if you are paying over ?450 for your chipped 1.8t we would love to
be able to provide you with a quote. You can input your details on our
website www.greenlightinsurance.com or contact me on 01277 263030. (If
you put your details on our website please state UKMKIVS under the club
membership question and the details will get passed to me to process)

Best Regards

Neil

This has got to be a wind up surely???

Having read rave reviews about "greenlight" i tried to contact You(neil) on numerous occasions but could never catch you.

So spent 10 mins giving details to another guy only to be told that you dont cover the manchester area!!!

So will be spending 516.84 with adrian flux again this year

Funnily enough, rave reviews about Greenlight puzzle me a little too. I've tried them for my two previous renewals and both times got frankly bizarre reasons for why they wouldn't insure me. The first time was because my Octavia wasn't modded enough(!) and the second time because they'd stopped insuring Octavias because they'd had too many claims. I believe they also said the same thing about Fabias to somone else on another forum.

Chris Knott for me.

No not a wind up I assure you?

We cannot currently insure certain manchester postcode sectors due to
our bad claims experience from there. We have had a massive increase in
injury claims from these sectors leading to the insurers concerned
making a massive loss therefore they stopped offering quotes.

This would not of been the case as we can quote for all types of
modified vehicles ranging for massivley modified cars to a vehicle with
just a set of alloy wheels.

We had a club discount scheme set up for Birskoda forum but after two
years of our insurer recieving numerous total loss accidents (mainly
single vehicle loss of control) on both the Octavia RS/VRS and Fabia
VRS they stopped offering competetive quotes on them.

This is the reason we stopped marketing for these Skoda models and I
did not post this 'remapped scheme' up on briskoda as well....As there
is no point in trying the attract business on a vehicle that we are not
going to be competetive.

I can assure you that this did happen. Maybe one of your guys was just having an off day? Fair enough with the other point though I wasn't aware you did once offer a Briskoda discount and that we were such terrible drivers [:$]

I may well give you a call in the next week or so then as mine is up for renewall soon and you haven't been able to get close enough to Adrian Flux. I changed to them a couple of years ago as they were cheaper.

membership question the details will get passed to me, Then i'll

My insurance is due for renewal real soon, saw this post, did an online
quote and Greenlight came up ?350 cheaper than the next cheapest
(Adrian Flux) and ?500 cheaper than my current insurers Admiral. I
couldn't beleive it at first, but I confirmed it over the phone today.
Such great timing as my car is booked in for mods on the day of renewal.

So I am paying ?757 12months fully comp. I'm 23 yrs old, 3 points on
licesne, 3 years no claims, and mods are: Tints, coilovers, arbs, revo,
forge dv, forge tip.

That's me sorted for the year

Cheers [Y]

neil quick question for you..... (im currently insured with greenlight - james muscroft)

I had a non fault accident last sept, an accident that was my fault this feb just gone and an sp60 and 3 points in sept 2005. (been claim and point free for the past 8 years...doh! [:D])

Now i currently have my 1.8t insured with you at the moment (protected no claims) but only mod i have is a forge recirc dump valve. Will i be able to get insured come renewal with yourselves if i have a remap?? my renewal is up in aug/sept

reason i ask, ive been considering chopping the golf for a 2002/2003 impreza wrx / wrx sti and i phoned greenlight yesterday to see how much extra it would be but unfortunatly and you wouldnt insure on an impreza because i had a fault claim this feb gone.
(still kept my 8 years no claims as i had them protected)

They will be able to add the chip between now and renewal. If they offer
renewal terms then fitting a chip next year won't be a problem either.

We wouldn't change to a Subaru Impreza STi (group 20) for someone who
had a fault accident just a couple of months prior on a group 15
vehicle.

Neil what about chipped TDI's?

I guess there as many chipped TDI as 1.8T's

Neil I tried you guy's last year for modded TDI but you couldn't beat the quote by HIC. They cover all my body mods for some reason you charge more for these mods.
