Im sure you chaps can imagine how devastated i feel. A people carrier pulled out on me and i swerved to avoid and ended up in a wall. of course the people carrier did a runner. a car witnessed the accident and got a partial reg number but police couldnt find it. [V]

Hit and Runners - insurance springs to mind, if they run and no-body gets a full reg so they aren't traceable, there isn't any impact on their insurance. If they do get spotted they can always claim that they didn't reliase that they had caused an accident.

Problem with spirialing insurance costs, everyone is trying to keeps theirs down. I recon it is going to get more and more common place.

Going back to that impact, the amazing thing is the lack of damage to the passenger zone, the nearside front door looks in almost perfect nick.

cheers chaps. the impact was at 30mph (maybe 35) into wall. the car mounted the kerb sideways and pivoted into the wall then bounced out into the road again. As for the cabin the dash was pushed in about 1 inch on the passenger side. the passenger door is pushed back 1 1/2 inch back(no chance of opening), the rear quarter has crumples and the roof is dented. the back driverside axle is broken. When i got out of the car the face of the 2 front wheels pointed totally forward. The engine was still running [^]

Inside the cabin, both airbags deployed, all seatbelts locked tight, windscreen was broken by pasenger wing and rearview mirror. both fasias in front of my knees are busted and centre vent is busted. left airvent hanging out, surround around air/hent controls came out & the blank buttons beside hazzard button. passenger window fell down in2 the door (didnt break)

car still starts & locks, cluster working fine although i didnt leave the engine running long enough for it to say ENGINE WORKSHOP!

side airbags intact, driver door, boot & rear bumper 2.

all in all its good to be alive
