Finding out more things about the 4mo each day! went for a drive late last night, roads were damp but nice and no one around, felt sooo alone!(could here things moving!), did some roundabout testing and some launches, Oh Gosh how intrusive is the ESP!!
Launches: with esp off its a different beast and try as I might the wheels wouldn't spin! the 4mo just went!! and how quick does first and second gear hit the limiter!!
Roundabouts: esp on is really good managed to slightly upset the rear but the car just snapped right back in line!, again with esp on but with a better angle and lower speed on entry the 4mo stuck, half way round I booted it and after a very small intervention, the car shot off!
ESP off, nice small slide round the roundabout but still stuck and shot out much quicker!
Right back to normal driving now! Oh and I had a complaint from my GF - I'm driving too slow!!!!??!? [:O]

A V6 4Motion may actually fit my new criteria of "fast but looking normal" (in case any of you don't know my R32 has been a serious target and sustained damage twice in failed attempts to nick the wheels). I'm the opposite of you guys - I want it to look totally normal. Apart from the wheels, if I debadged one, do you reckon it would look pretty "standard?" to a scumbag wheel nicking scally?
Deadlock: Couldnt agree more about the first/second limiter! There is a cobbled 90 degree bend outside my work and every slippery night I turn off the ESP and have the backside out - love it!!
Suther: Its not the car they are after mate its your wheels, scally biffs probably dont even know what car it is, they just see the beautiful rims!

Maybe Milltek do an exhaust that could make it sound like a 1.4?!
Anyone want to swap some R32 rims for something much more subtle?!!

Good choice Amd remap, and a suspension swap (Dont have to lower it but uprated shocks sperings and R32 ARB's should do the trick!!)

How much for those mods?
Alternatively I could smear my R in arrow tree frog poison so if anyone touches it, they die.
Could be some legal implications though...

I put the R32 arbs on mine, parts were 180 and I got a nice chappy to fit them for 50 cash. []
Mine had the VW sport suspension to start with and with the addition of these arbs the car now feels great.

Just in case you still have probs with the heated mirrors, when i got mine, mine worked for a while, then in service I got called saying the didnt work anymore. Well at the time we had snow on the ground, and I dont like clearing the car so I got them replaced as the elements had burnt out in the glass.

Gonna do powerflex bushes throughout (The whole lot) Adn this should pretty much see my suspension Bang on (Got koni height and damping adjustables.)(They were the only not cheap part! but worth every penny)[]

]Just had a "friendly"[^] race with a Honda dunno what it was it had "TRD developed" stickers all over it and had so many gauges all over the joint all lit up with neons! nice wheels,usual big exhaust! etc (They were nice guys though!) So it went like this: off the line (with ESP off) I was gone, then I heard a loud VVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE woosh!! from his turbo/DV -IT WAS BLOODY LOUD! and went past me just then I went in front, then he went in front..he couldn't catch me in 4th or 5th gear though?? I really thought i'd get destroyed, (Honda was running 235bhp apparently!) I reckon that his gear changes lost him a lot of time! But I tell you what, the v6 is bloody quick!! i'm shocked!![:O]
