i am paying a LOT but myn went up from £800 last year to £1067 which i am paying now and i only have a Mk4 Golf TDi SE [ARG90] i am 26 1 years no claims as well, don't know many people whos has doped [:(]
Just you wait another 2 days....then it will be going up even more!

Also, insurance prices went up as of yday in general.
Mines virtually HALFED and its been modded since last renewal
@Jay71, i think you should spend much more time shopping around if you havent already bought, some people have recommended Aplan insurance (even on other forums) and when i renewed in september last year including adding mods, adrian flux actually came up cheaper than the previous year, and they were the ONLY ones i could find cheaper
was with A plan, went up ?200! changed to hic went down ? 100 and covered all my mods! bora v5 170 bhp
thanks for the replies , tried go compare today , that was over 500 !! due on 14th so will keep trying .
My brothers girlfriend just got her renewal from kwikfit for her alfa 147, was £800 last year she hasnt made any clams shes 36 with two years no claims due to driving a company car for years. they now want £2000.20p what a con!!!!!
Mine went up from £600 to £800 with Brentacre this year I'm 25 with 8yrs no claims, but they were the cheapest and are like for like on mods with vgood customer service. Insurance has gone up by upto 40% since lastyear because of all the claims made last time it snowed, well thats the excuse I got from most of the companies I spoke to.
im with A plan. there customer service is wonderful. i deal direct with Chris casey, cannot fault the fella and always there to help.

i have added 2 more stickers to my window.. i must ring them up and declaire them as it goes.

Aplan FTW!
whats the point of no claims if , they charge u extra for the people who have claimed [negative]
whats the point of no claims if , they charge You extra for the people who have claimed
unfortunately mate thats how it works. All these little twunts they drive around un insured, those that dont declare there mods and crash into joe public push our premiums up. that as well as admin charges push them up.

Once again, the honest motorist getting raped.

Well said....

I have been trying to push this point for a long time, but no-body seems to care..... 'Im alright jack if my 200BHP car is insured as a 90BHP TDI with no mods. its cheaper to insure, who cares if I hit someone else and am not covered, or the cost on others insurance as a result'
should be getting my renewal through on the V6 soon, can say am not lookin forward to it
i just got quoted £1200 on my 53 plate 2.6 mv6 omega

gonna keep it off the road for a bit i think :D

my bora's policy isnt due til september, i'll be able to multicar them for less than a grand

i was thinkin about a multicar policy but admiral probably wont touch the AX considering its so modified
suppose i could look, at the least it might be worth it for my daily and her car
I can beat all of you.
5 yrs ago I had a scirocco gt2 @?350 comp. At age 26
Last year I treated myself to a BMW 7 series v8. The e38 model for those that are interested @?780 comp.
Sadly the cheapest renewal price once I'd scoured the globe trying all possible insurers and comparison sites was almost ?1800 and I'm nearly 32, with 5 yrs no claims.
That, and the petrol prices meant I had to get a car which is cheaper to run.
Hence my move to a 90 HP diesel golf.

The rumour is that uninsured drivers have put the cost of insurance up, but we all know that's absolute dangly bits.
It's just the insurance companies deciding to double our premiums to double their profits.
They've done nothing but make money out of me, my missus and our parents. As we've never ever claimed.
Surely we're not the only family who are in the same situation?!
I'd love to know who polices the insurers.
