Hi, I've got 2 rear doors leaking from the regulator panel seals in the doors so I took the panel off and the seal had basically disintegrated at the bottom so ima get it all off with a Stanley knife blade and clean the surface but what should I use to reseal it? I was thinking butyl tape?
Also I've seen on youtube other mk4 rear doors have window runners with 2 runner one on either side of the window but mine has a single track with a cable and a single grommet to attach the glass to the runner, unfortunately when I took the panel off all the cable and tensioner wheel fell apart and I'm really struggling how to get it back together. Any help appreciated. It's electric windows in the back btw 👍
Cheers

Butyl tape will do the trick... about your window mechanism, just go to the scrappy and replace the lot... if you just want to repair it, check the other door to see how it's put together.
Grand I'll get some butyl tape for it mate 👍 and unfortunately the other rear window is a twin runner setup but this one is a single runner up the middle 😂 bit of guesswork may be coming into it 😂
