unfortunately they'll be coming to all mk6 golfs soon enough.

I still can't see how it's not just an eos with some tinsel in the headlights and a fabric roof?

I quite like it, looks smart. Prefer it to the facelifted Eos.

The VW 'Charleston' alloys are starting to get a bit boring though.

an eos is much bigger car with a metal roof making it much more expensive, this will be pitched against the horrible looking a3 cab, the golf looks much better imo.

Golf convertible wheelbase is 2578mm, the Eos is also 2578mm
The Golf convertible length is 4246mm, the Eos is 4423mm
Golf's width is 1782mm and the Eos 1791mm

Seeing as the front is the same, and the wheelbase, the extra length is in the boot for the fancy roof, the Eos starts at around £22,000 and the golf cabriolet is expected to start around the £18,000 mark.

So, that's £4,000 for a metal roof and the extra boot space to keep it in.

No doubt the proportions of the golf are better, which makes you wonder why they're still bothering with the Eos, it's heavier, slower, worse looking and costs more - where do i sign?!
