According to the website there are some changes to the Golf colours.

Big shock is that it looks like Diamond Black metallic has been dropped. That is a real shock as it is obviously one of the more popular colours. They continue to offer crap and rarely seen colours like Wheat Biege & Sage Green though [:O] Also adding another metallic red seems a strange one. Laser Blue also gone!

If anyone has any of these colours on order you might be best to get onto your dealer to confirm they can still deliver.

They wont drop metallic black.

They've made a boo and left out the pearl colours. Look at the Golf plus chart, it has the 3 pearlys Black magic, graphite and laser blue.

I saw this the other night - I was looking at the colour choices and thought noooooooo, they've dropped all the best colours ! But, if you look in the brochure, all the colours we know and love are still there (phew !!)

On the subject of colours, I am due to spec my replacement car, and am considering a colour change. Currently I have Laser Blue which is nice, but the other day in the dealers I saw a MKV GTi in what looked like Dusty Mauve from the Mk3 days (I think thats what it was called then). The closest on the chart today is Blue Graphite, so can only assume thats what it was ??? - Looked nice though ....

I think KuniD has Blue Graphite.  It looks really nice and not many of them about.

If you look at the bottom post by Stevecivic you'll see he claims VW say it has been dropped [] I cannot believe it was not selling, you certainly see more diamond black than flat black ones.

Hold on - this just looks like they have boobed and failed to print the pearlescent colours on the website as only metallics and solids are shown. It does not seem very likely that they have discontinued ALL the pearlescents.

By comparing the website (http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/new_cars/new_golf/paint) and the brochure, we have lost the three pearls:
Blue Graphite
Laser Blue
Diamond Black

but gained the following 2 metalics:
Red Spice Metalic
Wheat Beige Metalic

Surely someone in charge of their website content has made a booboo - how can they get rid of the 3 sexiest colours (all of which are on my short list !!), and replace them with a minging metalic beige !

LOL! Funny you should say that, I actually saw (what looked like) a granny driving a wheat beige one today!

Thats gotta be a mistake dropping those colours seems silly especially the diamond black, its the only metallic black and theres nothing close to it in the range? Weird...
