Those look like uk-mkiv members cars!

All VAG cars are welcome :) It is definitely worth the trip even if you do it just the once :)

Maybe a convoy is in order? :)

The time before last my mate followed me down in his 300+bhp Escort RS Turbo! He loves all cars so he can appreciate them.

PMSL how come everyone likes that pic, I was in a rush to photograph some part of CkB's car before he left (trying to photograph a black car at night with no nearby lighting... hmm) - the camera isn't even straight, LOL [:D]

Hmm, do you reckon?

I think it's more to do with the fact that the Mk5's rear lights are something of a quite bold, but elegant work of art in the same way (but to a lesser extent) that the Mk4's headlights were - and still are. The Mk4 headlight design is just artistic genius in my opinion.

Thanks again dude.

Well I suppose what makes a good photo is capturing 'the moment' without thinking to much[:D][Y]

Agreed mate[Y] Like a cluster of diamonds[:D] which launched the trend of many projector-style h/lamps for other cars (also blueish shade dash lights is another copied example)

Was the MkIV the first to have a clear lens headlamp where the beam is shaped by the reflector rather than the lens? Even if it wasn't, it's certainly still one of the best looking designs even now, the problem with a lot of car headlamps following this clear lens design style today is they have waaaay too much silver/chrome going on, I think the MkV halogen units suffer a bit from this (the xenons look perfect), especially since they changed from a charcoal colour inserts on the 04 models to the all silver as seen on the current models, but still nowhere near as bad as some cars.

I'm pretty sure the MK4 was the first shui to have a clear lens. I remember first seeing those lights and thinking that they was a work of art.Its one of the reasons i bought a MK4!![:D]
