Just bought a Black Golf Gti Turbo 1999 and it had a misfire. VW have checked it and tightened a coil and fitted a new MAF sensor which has corrected the problem for two weeks and it has returned albeit not a bad. Any advice please....
Not to hand, but it is easy to find. The module is bolted to the back of the airbox (i.e. the face towards to back of the car). It has two cables connected to it one at either end. If you push the spring clip in the connector with come off.
Since last message car has been like a roller - until I filled up with fuel. Then just after filling up, a few mile up the road it misfired for about four mile then stopped and is running smooth again - WEIRD OR WHAT?[)]
