Looks like my car could have the dreaded Dual Mass issue.

Is it worth getting it converted ?

1: Are the LUK kits good?

2: Is it really worth it on a standard car?

3. What is a good price for a kit etc ?

been quoted £490.00 fully fitted inclusive

Looks like the general school of thought on the net is single is going to be noisy and ruin the car. The dual is more OEM and will be fine if the car is not abused ?

Last thing i want is to feel i am in a tractor !

who does the best dual mass clutch kit Sachs or Luk?
I'd go for sachs.

I fitted a new VW DMF and Sachs sports clutch to my Bora a year ago. My car is remapped and the clutch set up feels completely standard!

G&S have quoted me £340 for a LUK DM and a LUK clutch and the Piston thing !

that sounds great value. Getting in contact with a few Polish mechs that seem to have a good reputation with all VW's etc and never cut corners.

Hoping to get the labour done for about £150.

will check euro car parts to see what they can offer .

Tried a single plate car today, HATED it !! sounds crap and feels very very poor .

Not the sort of thing i like !
