Thought i'd let you know folks it's not possible to use the new Audi (A4, TT etc) gear knobs on the MK IV. The older A2 and A3 fit due to the shaft size [:I]......but i was told by the good men at VAG Parts to keep an eye out for some very cool products coming soon for our cars [:D][:D][:D]

Role on the new VAGparts site!!!!

will the R-Line gear knob fit any mk4 vw?

I've fitted all the R32 Alu trim to my 1.4s 16v but my standard knob is lacking that one would finish it off a treat!

According to the literature that comes with the gearknob it won't fit the 1.4, 1.6 or SDI.

mmm thats just great, and here'z me thinking a gear knob is a gear knob.

That R-Line knob would have been the cherry on the cake. Can anyone recommend a gear knob that will fit a 1.4s and look good with my R32 trim?

Or is there any way of getting around this buy tweeking this and that.
