Just been sent some pics of an Anni TDI that i'm interested in.

The car looks mint inside and out with very low miles (19k)

But look at the state of the rims!

Seller is looking for 14k (13.5k after haggling I guess [:D])but the wheels have put me right off, everything else looks mint though which is a shame.

If you look carefully, all wheels are showing signs of corrosion.

Shall I risk it and buy it, hoping the stealer will change all for wheels (a big risk)! or ask the seller to see the stealer and see if they will change the wheels under warranty.

What are the chances of the stealer replacing them, I would have thought the extensive damage would be enough for them to refuse?

Your thoughts please.

Wouldn't take the risk, those wheels are awful. There's no way you'll get them changed under warranty. Who the hell drove that car musn't have a clue how to park. Also makes you wonder just how little the rest of the car may have been cared for too.

What's even more amusing is when I called about it yesterday she said the wheels only have very light kerb marks, less than a quarter of the way around the edge of the rim.

WHY LIE AND THEN SEND ME PICS LOL?

Thats pretty poor parking considering the state of the inside of the spokes

The white worm effect is corrosion which happens with most Anni RC's!!

Even waxing every week wont stop that.

Wow they are terrible! I know that my dealer wouldn't have changed mine if they were badly curbed!

I guess the curb to corrosion ratio needs to be 51% or more in favour of corrosion![:p]

Say because of the extensive damage to the wheels you are only willing to pay 12500, then when they act all insulted offer them your number and say well the offers there call me back in a few weeks if you have no interest, I can guarenee with the state of them noone will go near it dealer or private.

at 12500 you could put new wheels on it!
