Got to agree Kaizer Chiefs Employment is an excellent album, but also just listened to Hard Fi's Stars of CCTV a few times and that is brilliant as well.

Funnily enough Hard-Fi is on my list 2 just bought and it is very good,
especially lyrically, however I think employment is much better all
round

Yep, it's been a really good year for British bands. There's been
loads of excellent releases. I know some on here don't like them
but I think Coldplay X&Y is a superb album. Looking forward
to next year with the release of the Arctic Monkeys new album (30/01) -
really like their two singles that have been released.

Other greats from this year are:
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
Doves - Some Cities
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Elbow - Leaders of the Free World
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl
Paul Weller - As Is Now
