I placed an order for an Ultra Short Shifter from Dieselgeek last Thursday for delivery via their 2 day FedEx service.

Yep, it arrived this morning and is now sat in place on the top of my gearbox.

What a complete doddle to fit, took around an hour and adjustment was a
piece of cake which has now left me with a shift of OEM quality.

I'll be taking it out for a test drive when I get chance later tonight.

I am about to have my B&Mshifter removed and put back to standard, The bloody thing has left me stranded TWICE.

I want one of those Ultra's, wasn't there a group buy on these?

What was the total cost Gary including shipping?

I assume the same part will also fit my 6 speed PD150 gearbox?
Total was $195 + $37.13 shipping, total $232.13 which converts to ?130.

Yes, it will fit your 6speed box.

I've got the dieselgeek race shifter installed the past few months and
highly rate it. Totally transforms the crap OEM shift and makes driving
much more pleasant. I wonder if the ultra shifter is much different to
the race one - wonder should I "upgrade".... anyone out there with
first hand experience of both?

Guys does the DieselGeek one still retain the smooth feel of the OEM shift?

I've got the EIP Race short shift and it's driving me crazy. Ver notchy.

Tempted to switch to the DieselGeek Ultra.

It's slightly notchier - but I take that as a positive characteristic. It's certainly not a nuisance at all. One day I will upgrade from Race to Ultra as I am a fully paid up geek! [8-|]
