Hi all,

A couple of days back I noticed the EPC light on the dash.

A guy I know plugged something to the car with a little digital display and said its 'nothing major' as its not registering on his device.

He recommended I get a brake lamp switch which would probably sort the problem. Not sure if brake lights were working or not.

The switch arrived this morning and is now fitted, I followed the fitting tips/instructions to the letter to avoid breaking the switch and the EPC light is still on.

Does the ECU need to be reset or anything? If so how'd i go about doing it?

Many thanks

Mel

Well i did mine myself as i have the genuine lead and the vcds latest software. Where abouts are you located mate as im sure someone could do it for you.

Did the guy who origionally scan you car give you the fault codes? Have you changed the brake light switch and are your brake lights working?

Have you checked you rear lights? I had this and replaced the switch but still got the error and only happened to glance at my back lights in a shop window and saw both my outer bulbs had blown.
