after seeing the above item, and a golf at trax this year...

i was wondering who's got painted engine covers?

how much do they cost to get sprayed?

and what sort of designs would we have if we had it done?

dead easy to do just make sure u use plastic primer before the top coat

Looks smart but why pay ?50 when all you need is some primer and some paint??

Just drag yourselfs to Halfaurds for the paint and it will take an hour or so!!

Would look much smarter colour coded with the VW badge IMO.

I SAW ON AT TRAX WITH A FLAG ON IT....

COULD GET THE UNION JACK AIR BRUSH ON......

I have a smoothed and painted engine cover, airbox and battery cover. The battery cover has been plastic welded so there is no hole in the top now. All done in solid black. []

We do it because its a mod, and IMO looks nice and tidy []

in my head a union jack air brushed in black and silver would look quite cool...

Not a bad idea in my mind mate. Im looking to do this soon, weather permitting of course.

Currently i have just brought out the text on the cover with red paint to match the rest of the red features under my bonnet.

Just had a look in my photobucket album and cant find a piccy. I'll get one maybe tonight.
