Hello
I heard that putting engine cover from diesel to petrol engine can cause power because exhaust in petrol run under the oil pan. And the cover is too close to exhasut. It is true? Someone caused fire in car like this? I also thought about putting metal engine cover but I think it is too much mess with assembly?

don't do it... the above reason is why they haven't done it in the factory because of the exhaust running to close to it... but if you look in the built topic from Seatman you can see how you can DIY a metal plate, not only will it protect the engine bay from dust & water, it will also protect it from hitting something that hard it would break the oilsump..

Ah you mean underneath. The flex on the 1.4s hangs quite low if I remember - it's certainly one of the lower parts on my OH's newly aquired bucket. Don't think you'd get a full guard to fit.
