i just came across the turbo's for my tdi on euro car parts and they are manufactured by G-Force. does anyone know if they are any good as i thought the origional turbos were amde by garret.

your right the original turbos are made by garrett. but i've never hear of G-force before apart from the film with guinea pigs in before anyone else says it. [:D]

ive got trouble with my turbo not boosting properly. sometimes but not always when the enging is cold, if i floor it from low revs i get absolutely no power until i hit 2000rpm and then i get boost and i go shooting off. i origionaly thought it was my maf but ie replaced with a new one and its still the same. anyone got any ideas?

i had the same problem i used to have no power low down and then a big surge at 2000 RPM i fixed my problem after i cleaned my EGR out that was full of Olly sludge that was causing the valve to stick it dose sound like your EGR may be clogged up mine had not been cleaned in 90 K so it was quite bad

if your turbo was the problem then you would be going in to limp mode this is the turbo vanes sticking i would get a vagcom scan and a boost log done have a look at theses threads

cheers for the reply. great threads there. gona check out my vac lines first. already disabled the egr valve but not cleaned it.
