Did you do your valve cover gasket?the oil between the contacts of you plugs and coils is gonna make it seem like your coils are dying but you won't know till you changed gasket and stuck new spark plugs in and cleaned the oil out of spark plugs wells and the coil tubes .

I'd imagine it's just oil causing the problem.
Ahh ok, no I've not done that be carrying that out eariler this week once the parts come through, would you recommed OEM gasket, or would an elring one do?

And just changed my spark plugs 2 weeks ago and did see oil in the chamber........do you think I can get away with just cleaning these plugs and sticking them in after the gasket change?

Thanks rygti.

I'd get a oem gasket my self. did you notice oil on your old spark plugs?how long you had the car?clean the tubes with cotton buds and wipe the top of your plugs off and see if your car feels better should for a couple of miles till the oil makes it way back in.Id get new plugs rather than clean them but its upto you. Usually if your gasket is Gone when you take your plugs out the socket used will be covered in oil and there will be oil in Wells and on the oil tubes and plugs
