Having some troubles with my driver's door.

Whenever I unlock the door and then go to try and open it. The door handle does not work. If I press the key fob again I can see the lock pin lift a little and then I can usually open the door

Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 unlocks with the fob for me to be able to open the door with the external door handle.

Sometimes I need to pull the handle a couple of times

Any ideas?

All I can tell you is that I’ve replaced all my door lock mechanisms, they’re renowned for failing on these cars.

I'd suggest google. This is legit the number 1 ask question on MK4's. Door locks are notorious for failing.

One common reason the car door lock is stuck in the locked position is due to broken connections within the door panel or lock assembly. These include a broken link from either the handle, lock cylinder, or interior locking post/switch to the car door latch.
